Venue: Tanay, Rizal
Organizer: Pimco Sporting Events
There were 258 runners who crossed the finish line, 10km and 21km participants combined, in the recently held Nature's Trail Discovery Run Leg 1 at Tanay, Rizal.
It's not my first time to hit the trails, but still, before the race, I am wondering what awaits us, since every trail is different.
Race day. Our group arrived in the venue 1 and 1/2 hours before gun starts, enough time for us to claim our race bibs and prepare ourselves to run. Many thanks to Norphl for sponsoring my 21km race kit. Norphl is well-known as it offers the best product which is coupled with a fast and secured online transaction.

The weather was not so hot nor cold, thus, comfortable for a trail run. The course was challenging and exciting since it offers the scenic views that will be loved by trail runners or serious runners looking for an alternative to road races.
-The sea of clouds when we reached the summit- |
The first part of the route was consists of steep ascents and descents. There were also slippery and muddy parts where we had to slow down into a walk but some portion offered the trails where you can run freely. Some grassy parts allowed runners to just slide and have fun as if they were kids playing around.

Precious Runner descent! |
Another exciting part of the course were the rivers. It was my first time to crossed rivers with my running shoes on.
There were enough
hydration and marshals along the route. The post-race event
was good and we have fun. PIMCO awarded cash prizes to the top 3 finishers in each category and Norphl raffled off 3 Viking trail shoes to lucky runners. The top finishers really deserve the prizes since it took all their sweats to finish such extraordinary race.
This Nature's Trail Discovery Run was totally good. A great break from the urban roads and a perfect time to celebrate running with friends. I highly recommend this race. Congratulations PIMCO for organizing such event.
It took me over 3 1/2 hours to cover 21km but it doesn't matter because I enjoyed. We spent much of our time running through the wonderful trails of Tanay.
